AAD 2012 EXHIBITORS INTRODUCED TO SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

20 April 2012, Centurion, City of Tshwane, South Africa - Organisers of the Africa Aerospace and Defence 2012 (AAD 2012) event met with exhibitors to provide a full overview of the event, and to introduce the procedures that will be in place before, during and after the exhibition. Exhibitors who attended the briefing were given the opportunity to ask questions about the mega-event, which will be held at the Air Force Base Waterkloof from 19 – 23 September 2012.

“Demand for the exhibition element of AAD 2012 has totally exceeded our expectations,” says Leona Redelinghuys, Exhibition Director, AAD2012. “All the exhibition space in the six hangars at Air Force Base Waterkloof have been fully booked and the show is 100% sold out to local and international exhibitors, who will bring the world’s latest products and innovations to showcase at Africa’s largest aviation and defence event.”

Participation in AAD2012 has grown significantly in comparison to previous events, with first time exhibitors Norway joining the event. The trade days (19 – 21 September) will feature 10 national pavilions, including exhibits from the United States, China, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Russia, India, Romania and the United Kingdom.

The trade days will see official delegations meeting government officials, with high level discussions and negotiations taking place against the backdrop of the massive exhibition.

Following the three trade days, AAD2012 will be open to the general public on 22 and 23 September 2012, who will be able to enjoy breathtaking displays of aviation skill and military power as part of a fun and educational day out for the family. At least 50 000 visitors are expected on each of the public days, with tickets being kept at a very affordable rate to encourage attendance.

AAD2012 provides excellent marketing opportunities for exhibitors wishing to promote their products and services not only amongst South African countries, but to the entire African continent.
