The judging is complete and
ten finalists have been chosen from more than 65 entries received. The awards
will be made at African Pilot’s offices on Thursday 25 October starting at
17h00 when we will also launch the November edition of the magazine.

largest exhibition of air, sea and land capabilities exceed all
expectation

September 2012 – City of
Tshwane saw the return of Africa’s largest exhibition of air, sea and land
capabilities at Africa Aerospace and Defence 2012 (AAD2012) at AFB Waterkloof. From 19
to 21 September 2012, trade and static displays attracted more than 40,000
trade visitors from 28 countries, followed by an Air Show on 22 and 23
September 2012 that attracted over 95,000 members of the public.

Africa Aerospace and Defence returns to the City of Tshwane
23rd
August 2012, South Africa - The City of Tshwane will see the
return of Africa’s largest exhibition of air, sea and land capability at Africa
Aerospace and Defence 2012 (AAD2012) at AFB Waterkloof. The exhibition previously
held at AFB Ysterplaat, Cape Town in 2006, 2008 and 2010, returns to AFB
Waterkloof after extensive renovations and upgrades at the base.

AAD2012 puts plans in place to manage traffic around the show
A
multi-pronged approach to traffic management is in place to keep congestion to
a minimum
With the City of
Tshwane preparing to host the globally recognised Africa Aerospace and Defence
2012 (AAD2012) exhibition from 19 - 23 September 2012 at Air Force Base
Waterkloof, the organisers are working closely with Tshwane City Metro Police,
Emergency Services, the SAPS, fire and rescue services and Disaster Management
to manage the traffic going to and leaving from the event.

Aerospace Industry Support Initiative (AISI) SMME Exhibitor Pavilion at the AAD2012
The AISI is an initiative of the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) incubated and managed by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). AAD 2012 EXHIBITORS INTRODUCED TO SHOW HIGHLIGHTS
20 April 2012, Centurion, City of Tshwane, South Africa - Organisers of the Africa Aerospace and Defence 2012 (AAD 2012) event met with exhibitors to provide a full overview of the event, and to introduce the procedures that will be in place before, during and after the exhibition.
